Since May 2010, the percent of Marin homes in contract rose 12% from 20 to 32. Over the past year, we have seen a switch from a buyer’s market to a more balanced market. There is, however, a different situation within the individual niches of the Marin real estate market.
At the end of May 2011, the percent of homes in Marin priced under $1,000,000 in contract was at 41%, indicative of a seller’s market. And 20% of homes priced over $1,000,000 were in contract, indicative of a buyer’s market.
