Pacific Union International is pleased to present the twelve remarkable charity beneficiaries of the Pacific Union Community Giving Fund.
“I’m thrilled to share that on the heels of giving more than $40,000 at our June companywide philanthropic casino night event—our first together as Pacific Union Los Angeles— we have selected 12 new beneficiaries of the Pacific Union Community Giving Fund,” Pacific Union LA President Nick Segal said. “These organizations will be presented checks from our Fund this December 2018.”
These organizations are devoted to helping those struggling with grief, homelessness, and debilitating diseases; and giving children a positive start through arts education, healthcare, and foster services. We are proud to be a part of their vital efforts.

Door of Hope (DOH) seeks to end the cycle of homelessness for every man, woman, and child we serve. We provide families with case management and other services to empower families to achieve the ultimate goal of finding and maintaining housing and providing a better future for their children.
Camp Del Corazon provides a medically supervised, residential summer camp for children ages 7-17 who are living with heart disease, as well as additional programs for these children and their families.
ALS Association Golden West Chapter is dedicated to the fight against ALS in many ways, including funding global research efforts, supporting scientific and clinical collaboration, connecting people with ALS to clinical trials, partnering with multidisciplinary ALS clinics and centers, educating the public about ALS, providing professional care management services to families facing ALS, pursuing important public policy initiatives, and bringing the ALS community together.

Raise A Child is the nationwide leader in the recruitment and support of LGBTQ and all prospective parents interested in building families through fostering and adopting to meet the needs of the 437,000 children in the foster care system.
PHASE ONE is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting ground-breaking Phase I and Phase II clinical cancer research, innovative education and treatment programs, and funding forward-thinking leaders in the scientific and medical community. A donation from the Pacific Union Community Fund would be used for a local community grant.
Examples of recent funding include a grant to the Los Angeles Unified School District to create a testicular cancer prevention and education program and a grant to provide more peer-to-peer services and support to breast and ovarian cancer patients in Los Angeles hospitals.
Impact: PHASE ONE’s immediate funding goes to researchers at all the main medical institutions in Los Angeles and Southern California, including UCLA, USC.
