Tom Flanagan completes leadership team at unique Pasadena Old Town office

When is an office not an office? When it’s the ultra-creative world of Pacific Union Pasadena Old Town, where Tom Flanagan has just joined the legendary Maggie Navarro as Associate Manager.
The two lead a team of high-performing real estate professionals who, along with the associates at the Pasadena Playhouse office, have made Pacific Union International the No. 1 real estate brokerage in the Pasadena market.
The Pasadena Old Town group is working in a pretty unconventional office space, and that makes everything they do a bit more … well … unusual.
The office is in the 1910 Tanner Market building (originally the Tanner Motor Livery, now on the National Register) in the heart of Old Pasadena. Its sweeping spaces creatively blend original exposed brick walls, high ceilings and skylights with innovative contemporary design, modern amenities and an ultra-creative ambience. The spacious back gathering area and patio offer a very chill contrast to the cutting-edge office spaces up front.
“This is a unique place,” Tom says. “Its sense of energy and fun makes people actually want to spend time in the office, and encourages creative thinking and collaboration. We call it business in front, party in the back. We’re all business first, but we still make it a priority to mix it up and socialize and bond together. It’s an incredibly supportive environment. People cheer for each other’s successes and really care. The office has a good soul.” So much so that its people regularly set aside time to help the many local nonprofits their office supports, and the back space and patio are regularly offered gratis for charitable events.
Tom brings a lifetime in the market to his management role. A graduate of San Marino High School and UC Santa Barbara, he lives locally with his wife and two children. A top producer company wide, he’s represented buyers and sellers for over fifteen years. He’s deeply involved in many community efforts, topped by his proud role as a “white suiter” with the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association.
Tom Flanagan and Manager Maggie Navarro are a powerhouse team. Long a noted real estate force in the San Gabriel Valley, Maggie is known for her in-depth knowledge of the city’s neighborhoods, the real estate and lending markets, and the fine arts of negotiating, problem-solving, creative marketing and superb customer care. “I’ve been looking for the right person to help me lead the office since I became Manager in May,” she says. “I found that partner in Tom.”
When the right location, leadership and people align, it’s rare. At Pasadena Old Town, it’s happening.
