As of August 31st 2011, 41% of homes in Sonoma County were in contract – indicative of a seller’s market. Within the market of homes priced under $1,000,000, we see a seller’s market as well with 45% of Sonoma homes in contract. However, it is a buyer’s market in the area of homes priced over $1,000,000 with only 8% of total homes in contract.
