An unprecedented nine Pacific Union LA real estate professionals received Variety’s top honor for real estate agents this year, its annual Showbiz Real Estate Elite. The company was also the only real estate firm with a feature article in the issue.
Each year, leading entertainment trade magazine Variety singles out the go-to real estate agents in its industry, power brokers who work with clients not only in Hollywood but on the East Coast, in Miami and across Europe, Latin America and Asia. The nine Pacific Union honorees for 2018 are Hugh Evans III, Madison Hildebrand, Greg Holcomb and Cassandra Petersen, Aaron Kirman, F. Ron Smith and David Berg, Richard Stearns, and Craig Strong.
Honorees’ 2017 achievements included the sale of a $20 million Century City penthouse by Greg Holcomb and Cassandra Petersen; Aaron Kirman’s record year of more than $400 million in sales, including the Danny Thomas estate at $65 million, the second-highest sale in the history of Beverly Hills; and the closing of nearly $200 million in sales by F. Ron Smith and David Berg, currently pre-marketing a $19.5 million architectural compound in Bel-Air.
Also applauded were Craig Strong for over $100 million annual sales and his current listing of the Bob Hope Estate for $22 million; Hugh Evans III for $2.5 billion in career sales, including his 2017 sale of a Pacific Palisades estate for $13.4 million; and Richard Stearns for over $2 billion in career sales and $100 million in 2017, including the $22 million Reagan Estate in Pacific Palisades. A feature on TV’s “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” cites cast member Madison Hildebrand for the recent double-sided sale of a $16.3 million Pacific Palisades property by his team, The Malibu Life.
The magazine noted that today’s high-end real estate agents do more than help their clients buy and sell properties – they engage in compelling branding and storytelling for their clients. Pacific Union President Nick Segal added that his firm’s agents are able to draw not only on their own expertise, but the company’s in-depth research intelligence. “At the end of the day,” he noted, “how you use data and market knowledge is the differential.”
In announcing the Variety honor internally, Segal took the opportunity to thank each of the 900 Pacific Union LA real estate professionals for unparalleled commitment to their clients. “Together,” he said, “we are The Ultimate California Real Estate company.”
