Pacific Union leads La Cañada Flintridge and Pasadena real estate markets in sales for first half of 2018

As the first half of 2018 comes to a close, Pacific Union International is excited to report that our La Cañada Flintridge office led the marketplace as the No. 1 producing office in sales according to MLS. In Pasadena, with two offices, Pacific Union took the No. 2 spot overall and No. 1 in independent brokerages, as reported by MLS.
The news comes just six months since the launch of the Pacific Union brand in Los Angeles with the merger of three local brokerages. The firm’s professionals have consistently led the marketplace over the past seven years as part of John Aaroe Group and Partners Trust, which joined Gibson International in the merger to become one company.
Under the leadership of Scott Brown, manager of the La Cañada Flintridge and Pasadena Playhouse District offices, and Maggie Navarro, manager of the Pasadena Old Town office, these three locations have combined sales of $620,000,000 in the first half of 2018, alone.
The real estate professionals in the three offices are among the most successful in the nation, including Michele Downing (who did more than $55 million in sales in 2017), The Botsford Group and Giusy Mele-Brown in Pasadena; and Laura Brandt in La Cañada.
REAL Trends recently named several other agents and teams to America’s Best Real Estate Professionals. They included Pasadena’s Sarah Rogers and the teams of Ted Clark and Heather Lillard and Susan and Bradley Mohr, along with La Cañada Flintridge’s Gillan Abercrombie, Ben Kelly and the team of Carey and Andy Haynes.
The sale of the historic Villa delle Favole estate for $7,995,000 by Ben Kelly, which set the record for highest priced sale in San Marino, was among the top transactions of the year so far.
A 1928 Monterey Colonial on Old Mill Road in San Marino listed by Sarah Rogers sold at $4,388,000 with Pacific Union’s Giusy Mele-Brown representing the buyer. Rogers was recently named to head the company’s Trust and Probate Division with colleagues Susan Andrews and Alan Taylor.
Another notable transaction was Laura Brandt’s record-setting $8,595,000 sale of the 1927 Spanish Colonial Revival masterpiece Casa de las Puertas in La Cañada Flintridge.
In January, Los Angeles Business Journal named Pacific Union LA both the No. 1 independent and No. 2 overall in its 2018 list of the top residential real estate brokerages in LA County.
Collectively, Pacific Union now has more than 1,700 real estate professionals across 51 offices throughout Northern and Southern California, projecting sales volume of $18 billion in 2018. The brokerage’s Southern California markets include Beverly Hills, Malibu, Downtown, the Westside, Northeast L.A., and the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys. Northern California markets include San Francisco, Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, Napa, and Sonoma counties, Silicon Valley, and the Lake Tahoe region.
